Atlas Photoengraving, Inc. serviced the graphic arts community since 1930 with an emphasis on quality, reliability and a turnaround time to any schedule. Atlas was was a bastion of old world craftsmanship as a full service Photoengraver located near the Armory in downtown Philadelphia. Atlas specialized in answering every customer’s special need.

Producing negatives from camera ready art as well as from computer generated les. The letterpress die department produced Stamping and Embossing Dies in 1/4" or 11 point magnesium as well as 16 ga. unmounted or mounted to type high for printing cuts.

Quality was a top priority at Atlas. Working to combine modern equipment and skilled craftsmen with many years in the trade to guarantee a clean job.

In July of 2010, PlateCrafters took over for Atlas Photoengraving. This made PlateCrafters the last remaining supplier of Magnesium Dies in the Philadelphia Area. PlateCrafters is proud to continue the commitment to quality and reliability that helped Atlas serve the graphic arts community for 80 years.
